2013 Gold Winner: Residential Kitchen $80,000 - $120,000For our company, this project involved a complete custom kitchen remodel but for our clients, it ended up being much more than that. As we all know the kitchen is the place where everyone ends up "hanging out". In this kitchen project we created a warm and open floor plan which included a den and fireplace. |

2013 Silver Award: Residential Interior over $100,000Family fun! This was the theme for this project. We were retained in a design build capacity to perform a build out of a rather large 1,800 square foot unfinished basement. Our clients were professionals with two young teenage children living at home. Their request was to create a comfortable entertainment space that the whole family could enjoy. We included space for a pool table, ping pong table, an air hockey table, a gym, media room, wine cellar and a powder room. |

2013 Gold Winner: Exterior SpecialtyFor this project our client asked us to reconfigure the entry to the front of their home. When approaching the house for the first time, it was confusing at best as to how or where to come knocking. The existing conditions did not allow for a convenient and inviting access to their front door. The front elevation of the home was also quite unattractive and gave no protection from the elements when standing at the door. What made things worse was the cold appearance of the first floor brick façade and the stark elevation. The result of our work are as shown. |
2011 Gold Award: Residential ExteriorThis was my fourth project for this particular client over the past 12 years. We renovated the majority of the home’s interior and it was time to complete the process. This project consisted of a renovation to the living room, foyer and a complete custom detailed exterior. |
2010 National Winner & 2009 Gold Award: Home Theater & Media Rooms under $150,000This project involves a media room which we designed with high quality sound components and acoustics, a large size Hi-definition display capable of displaying all types of media content and easy to use controllability. The room was created in a warm den setting that didn't look like a theater and could double as a common space for family night when they all got together to play board games. |
2010 Platinum Award: Entire House $250,000 - $500,000This is a story that has a sad beginning but a very happy ending. Our client's home caught fire and sustained major fire damage. Thankfully, the family and pets made it out without injury but the house and personal effects didn't fare as well. The home had to undergo a complete gut, a partial rebuild and a total fire restoration process. Along the way, we reconfigured walls to create a better flow and significantly upgraded the finishes throughout. |
2010 Platinum Award: Commercial InteriorThis project involved remodeling a waiting room and 12 patient exam rooms in a veterinary hospital. The owner expressed his desire for a warm setting with finishes that were durable enough for the traffic that an animal hospital receives. The real challenge however, was to renovate the only waiting room and all exam rooms in a hospital with a staff of over 150, complete it within a three week time span and performs it without disrupting the operation of the hospital. |
2009 Platinum Award: Interior SpecialtyOur client wanted a bar and service area in their dining room. They wanted wine refrigerators and a convenient, out of the way storage location for their liquor bottles. We gave them both. Note the custom fold away cabinet doors and tiered lazy Suzan bottle rack. This cabinet includes all cherry construction, curved soffit and trim, wrought iron inlays, indirect lighting and flamed granite counters. |
2009 Platinum Award: Residential Interior Under $100,000This project started out as a request to create a bunk room in the basement of a client's summer home. The original discussions were of studding and sheetrocking walls and installing a conventional three piece bathroom. As discussions progressed, one of the owners suggested we create the feel of an old sailing ship. "Not a tacky Sponge Bob look or something to scare the little ones but rustic and seafaring". That was the start of what you will see here. |
2009 Gold Award: Residential Addition $100,000 - $250,000This project was created due to the need for a Master Suite with first floor access. Our clients wanted a quality product with radiant heat in the bathroom, substantial moldings and elegant detailing throughout. The master bath includes marble inlay work and a totally custom cherry vanity which lays up into the curve of a barreled ceiling. Our work encompassed the master suite as well as the adjoining mudroom and dining room. |
2009 Gold Award: Entire House $250,000-$500,000Simplicity! This is what our clients requested. They are collectors of art and fine collectables and our mission was to create a space which was unobtrusive and devoid of heavy detail so as not to detract from their offerings. Material choices were contemporary but still graceful in there showing. Sight lines and lighting was of huge importance as pieces were set for display throughout every conceivable spot in the house. |
2009 Silver Award: Residential Interior Under $100,000This project was for a client we have worked with on multiple occasions. They had an existing sitting room outside their master bedroom and wanted to create a warm space with a library feel where they could display their book collection and snuggle up in solitude to read. There only other request was that we perform this renovation on a $20,000 budget. The space you will see is the result of our efforts. |
2008 Platinum Award: Entire House Over $1,000,000This project was created for a young professional couple with school age children and an active life style. The owner who was our main contact worked in Manhattan and traveled abroad frequently. Site meetings were quite infrequent. Through a series of digital pictures, PDF documents and emails, we were able to communicate electronically with a surprisingly high degree of efficiency and understanding. |
2008 Platinum Award: Residential Interior Over $100,000This project was created for second time clients whom we are currently working for on a third endeavor. They wanted a space for their children to be able to work with arts and crafts, as well as a place for them to find solitude to read and enjoy personal space. What you will see in the following photos has become that and more. |
2008 Gold Award: Residential Interior Over $100,000Our clients presented us with a home built in the early 1900s and asked us to renovate their master quarters. They wanted to try to keep the feel of the home's vintage and a hint of the elegance it once displayed. Working tightly to the clients specs we created the space you see. Large crowns, wainscot panels, built-in cabinetry, an Asian marble bath outfitted with a refurbished claw-foot tub and converted antique dresser for a vanity." |
2008 Gold Award: Exterior SpecialtyWith all this years work we still had time to attend to the smaller projects. This past client came to us in need of an exterior shower built on to their home. Our focus became that of longevity of materials while still fulfilling the owner's requirements for function. All base materials were Azek (a cellular PVC product) and the hardware was stainless steel. Notice the retracting roof created to provide the shy users privacy from the balcony above. |
2008 Gold Award: Residential Addition $250,000 & OverThe basic project was to construct a full basement, extend the first floor kitchen into a large eat in with fireplace, enlarge the second floor office and add on a master bathroom. We were also asked to outfit the kitchen and bath and ramp up the interior moldings a bit to add a touch of elegance. |
2008 Silver Award: Residential Addition Under $100,000This project was the result of a "design-build" effort. The homeowners are third time clients. Their needs were simple; to enlarge their master suite where by creating a sitting area in which they could warm up by a fire and read a book. Along the way it was decided to add a small deck to sit outside and provide access to a hot tub to soothe the bones. |

They wanted the addition to have an open floor plan, lots of light and good access to the new deck. |
2006 Gold Award: Residential Exterior under $100,000We constructed a new front porch, added detailing to the existing dog house dormers, installed new windows and an entry door and performed some minor interior modifications to the foyer and billiards room.
